The Dashboard
What is the dashboard?
The dashboard is your personal home screen in FlowQi. It gives you your overview at a glance: a row of metric cards at the top and four section cards below for your tasks, projects, tasks you’ve assigned to others, and your private notes. It greets you by name with a Welcome back message.
Everything on the dashboard is personal — it shows your own tasks, projects, and notes, scoped to what you’re allowed to see.
Where to find it
The dashboard is your landing page after you sign in . You can return to it any time by clicking the FlowQi logo at the top left, or from the products menu (the grid icon in the top bar) under Personal Dashboard.
The dashboard is your personal overview — it’s separate from your account settings. To edit your name, avatar, theme, language, or security, open the avatar menu (top right) → Profile; see Your Account & Workspace .
The metric cards
At the top you’ll find four metric cards:
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Open Tasks | Tasks assigned to you (or assigned by you) that are still to do or active and not past due |
| Overdue Tasks | Tasks past their due date that aren’t completed yet |
| Completed Tasks | Tasks that have reached a closed status |
| Total Hours | Hours logged on your work logs |
These cards count tasks where you are the assignee or the person who assigned them, and only tasks you have access to see.
Filtering by date range
Next to the welcome message there’s a date-range selector. Use it to limit the metrics to a period:
- This week
- This month
- Custom date — pick your own start and end dates
When a date range is active, the metric cards recalculate for that period. Click the active preset again, or clear the custom date, to go back to showing everything.
The date filter only changes the four metric cards at the top. The section cards below (My Tasks, Projects, Assigned, Notes) always show your current items.
My Tasks
This card lists tasks assigned to you, split across four tabs:
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| Upcoming | Tasks with a start or due date in the future |
| Overdue | Tasks whose due date has already passed |
| Non-Due | Tasks without a start date or due date |
| Completed | Tasks that have reached a closed status |
Each task shows its title, the project it belongs to, and its date (or date range). Click a task to jump straight to it on its project board.
Projects
The Projects card shows the projects you’re working on. Each project tile shows the project name, its linked organization, and — for projects in a non-default Circle — the Circle it belongs to. Click a tile to open the project.
Use Create new project in the card header to start a new project without leaving the dashboard.
A project in the public (default) Circle shows no Circle badge — that’s expected. The badge only appears for projects in a private Circle.
Tasks I’ve assigned
This card lists the tasks you have assigned to other people, so you can keep an eye on work you’ve delegated. Each entry shows the task title, its project, and its dates. Click an entry to open the task.
If you haven’t assigned anything to anyone yet, the card stays empty.
Private Notepad
The Private Notepad is a personal space for your own notes — only you can see them.
Adding a note
- Click Add note in the card header.
- Enter a Title (required).
- Write your note in the rich-text editor (required). You can format the text.
- Click Save note.
Editing or deleting a note
Each note has a menu (the … icon) with two actions:
- Edit — reopen the note to change the title or content, then click Update note.
- Delete — remove the note. You’ll be asked to confirm first.
Click a note’s title to expand it and read the full content.
Deleting a note is permanent — there’s no undo. Make sure you no longer need it before you confirm.
When a card is empty
If a section has nothing to show yet — no tasks, no projects, or no notes — the card shows a friendly empty state instead. As soon as you add or get assigned items, they appear automatically.
