Project Views
What are project views?
Every project in FlowQi shows the same tasks through different views. A view changes how the work is presented — as a board, a list, a calendar, an overview, or a folder of files — without changing the underlying tasks. The same task you see as a card on the Board appears as a row in the List and as an entry on the Calendar; editing it in one view updates it everywhere.
You might call them kanban, board, timeline, agenda, or table — in FlowQi these are project views (Board, List, Calendar, Dashboard, Files).
A project opens on the Dashboard by default. Across the top you’ll find five tabs — Board, List, Calendar, Dashboard, and Files — and you can switch between them at any time to plan, track progress, or find a document.
Where to find your views
In the left sidebar, open Project and pick a project (or View All Project to choose from the full list). The project opens on the Dashboard, with the five view tabs — Board, List, Calendar, Dashboard, and Files — running across the top.
Which view you work in is a personal preference. You can create and manage tasks from both the Board and the List, and you can switch views at any time — your tasks stay exactly the same underneath.
Dashboard
The Dashboard is the default view and gives you a high-level overview of the project. At the top it shows the project name, the date it was created, and the time it was last updated. Below that you’ll find:
| Field | Content |
|---|---|
| Project owner | The person who owns the project |
| Team Members | The people working on the project |
| Project Description | A short description of what the project is about |
| Total Time logged | The time logged against the project so far, shown as Remaining time alongside Total time |
The Dashboard has two sub-tabs:
- Summary — the project overview described above, with owner, members, description, and time totals.
- Activity — a recent activity feed showing what has happened in the project, so you can catch up on the latest changes at a glance.
Board
The Board is a Kanban board built from status sections — for example To Do and In Progress. Each section is a column, and every task lives in the column that matches its current status. To learn how sections and statuses are set up, see Statuses & Sections .
Each column shows:
- A task count for that section.
- A + in the header to add a task at the top of the column.
- A ⋮ menu to manage the section (rename, recolour, or delete it).
- An Add Task button at the bottom to add a task to that section.
To add a whole new column, use New Section. To change a task’s status, drag its card from one column to another — it moves into the new section straight away.
The top-right controls let you:
- Sort the cards within the board.
- Toggle Show Completed to reveal Closed (completed) tasks, which are hidden by default.
- Open the Settings gear for the board’s options.
List
The List is a table grouped by status section — the same sections you see as columns on the Board. It’s ideal for scanning many tasks at once or getting a bulk overview of the whole project. By default it shows these columns:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Name | The task title |
| Assignee | The person responsible |
| Due Date | When the task is due |
| Status | The task’s status section |
| Priority | Low, Medium, or High |
| Organization | A linked organization |
| Contact | A linked contact |
| Created At | When the task was created |
| Updated At | When the task was last changed |
Use the top-right controls to tailor the table:
- Customize — choose which of the columns above are shown.
- Sort — order the rows the way you want.
- Show Completed — reveal Closed (completed) tasks.
You can add tasks straight into a section with the Add Task button under each status group.
Calendar
The Calendar is a monthly calendar that places each task on its due date, so you can see what’s coming up and spot busy or quiet periods. Use the controls at the top to:
- Move between months with the arrows.
- Jump back to the current month with Today.
- Switch to the Timeline view option for a different time-based layout.
- Toggle Show Completed to include Closed (completed) tasks.
A task only appears on the Calendar if it has a due date. Tasks without a due date don’t show here, but they stay visible on the Board and in the List.
Files
The Files view collects the files and attachments belonging to the project in one place, so you can find a document without digging through individual tasks.
